This User Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms under which you (“User”, “you”) may access and use ISLA (“the Service”), operated by The Interesting Life Company Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. You may not allow anyone else to use your user details to access the Service.
1. Eligibility
- The Service is provided only to professional financial advisers authorised to operate in the United Kingdom.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and FCA requirements.
2. Use of the Service
- The Service is provided to support advisers in giving information to clients applying for life insurance.
- It must not be used as a substitute for your professional judgement or regulatory obligations.
- Your use is subject to a “fair use” policy. You must not misuse the Service or use it to generate content that is misleading, unlawful, or harmful.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms.
3. Nature of Information
- ISLA provides AI-generated content to support financial advice processes.
- Outputs may not be complete, accurate, or up to date, and should always be independently checked.
- The Service does not constitute financial advice, insurance advice, legal advice, or medical advice. You remain solely responsible for the advice and recommendations you provide to clients.
4. Intellectual Property
- All rights in ISLA, including its software, design, and content, belong to us or our licensors.
- You retain rights in the data you input but grant us a licence to process it for the purposes of providing the Service.
5. Data and Privacy
- We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy: https://interestinglife.co.uk/isla-privacy-policy/
- You must ensure you have the right to input client data into the Service and that any such use complies with applicable data protection law (including UK GDPR).
6. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on outputs generated by the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to £[amount] or the fees paid by you for the Service in the preceding 12 months, whichever is greater.
7. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your access with notice if you breach this Agreement or where continued access poses regulatory, legal, or operational risk.
8. Governing Law
- This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes
- We may update this Agreement from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via email or through the Service.
